The space fosters family time together. I love it. Thank you Sue and Mark

  • "Lovely accommodation and good location."

Everything you would need for a staycation. The welcome gift was lovely touch, everything was spotless and well thought out. It was our first time away with our puppies and was great. Loved the under floor heating in the kitchen. Only thing we would say is the decking outside was very slippy(our little girl fell a couple of times) also due to the amount of rain we been having the Astro turf on walkway to house was really wet (even though it didn’t rain much whilst we were there) so just meant we had to be on it with our three little girls and drying the puppies feet every time they came in from outside. We would definitely recommend, Sue was so prompt with getting back to us with any issues and a perfect host

  • "The TV is quite old - not a SMART tv so is limited."

A simple upgrade would be to have a chrome cast option. Given we went along in colder days not having option to watch films etc was a shame. The property would benefit from having hooks on doors of rooms for coats etc

Hi Nicky, The tv is a smart tv and less than 18 months old. The manual is in the booklet. So sorry you didn’t find it. I have now purchased some coat hooks for the lounge, I never thought of that, so thank you for the feedback. Hope it didn’t spoil your stay. Sue xx Property Owner

The pictures don't do it justice. 5 of us stayed over Christmas whilst in Bradford to be with family and it felt like a home away from home. The house is also well equipped for a comfortable stay.

  • "Beautiful holiday cottage in a beautiful location."

The property was spotlessly clean and we felt relaxed right away. The welcome goodies were very much appreciated too. We were worried about the road up to the property based on previous feedback but didn't find this to be an issue at all. We enjoyed our visits to Shibden Hall (where they filmed Gentleman Jack), Haworth, Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, Robertshaw's award-winning farm shop and a cruise along the River Ouze in York. There is still so much that we would like to explore in this area so would be happy to stay here again.

The owners couldn't do enough to help us. Please don't let the Bradford address put you off, as the house in the countryside and backs onto fields with cows. We had a delivery driver ask us 'why have you come to Bradford for a holiday?' Went on a couple of walks and a run around where we stayed too.

The cottage is lovely, very clean and comfortable and the owners Sue and Mark went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed; they had decorated it beautifully for Christmas with a tree and other decorations and even provided a foil tin to roast the turkey in! This is a lovely area of Yorkshire and the snow on Boxing Day was the icing on the cake! Would definitely book again.

  • "Cottage was spotlessly clean and very nice."

Our whole family enjoyed their stay very much. On a small note (we tend to wash up and dry up as don't have dishwasher at home) So would have preferred a washer (clothes) to a dishwasher - but we are probably in a minority here! Overall very happy with the cottage and the friendliness / support of the owners - thank you so much!

  • "We started off on the wrong foot."

My older son arrived earlier whilst I dropped at a nearby shop to buy bread etc. He made an error parked on the side road instead of at the dedicated place and attracted unnecessary aggro from one of the residents before we moved the car swiftly. The house is spotless and immaculate, and we had a welcome postcard and gifts (though couldn't accept it as we are non-drinkers). It has almost everything we needed, although a washing machine would come in more handy than a dishwasher especially after long walking in woodlands, caves, and waterfall trails. Not very happy with an instruction received before starting our holiday to remove bed linen at end of our stay (which is a tight 10 AM) for IPC reasons, which is a BIG ask (is cleaning should already be included in the bill?).

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear you found the property immaculate and that you enjoyed our facilities. We have previously added a dishwasher based on feedback from our guests but appreciate your comments in relation to this. I am sorry if you were unhappy with being asked to strip beds, this is a common practice in holiday lets and helps to ensure our cleaning team remain safe, especially in the current COVID pandemic. Thank you again for providing your feedback and we hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at The Coach House."

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and had everything that we needed. It was the perfect size for my husband and I, our two young sons and my mum - it is so spacious and our children certainly made themselves at home very quickly. The owners, Mark and Sue, went out of their way to make our stay perfect in every way and are such lovely people. The cottage is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside with many public footpaths to choose from. The Thornton viaduct is a five minute walk away and the views are breathtaking. Haworth is a 15 minute drive away, as in the Worth Valley Railway. Shibden Hall and Park (home of Anne Lister - “Gentleman Jack”) in Halifax is close by and we spent the whole day there. We also had a fantastic trip to Hesketh Farm near Bolton Abbey which is 50 minutes away. The Bronte Falls and Penistone Park are also close by. The road leading up to the cottage is quite uneven and bumpy but our little hatchback went up and down without any problems at all. It’s a perfect cottage - comfortable, light and airy with plenty of space for a young family. We loved every minute!!

The lane/street up to it is a nightmare - massive holes and very bumpy - had to park car on main road as I didn’t want to take it up and down the lane - not a major big deal but I wanted my car in the drive where I could see it

Beautifully laid out and furnished and immaculately clean. There was a welcome note and gifts waiting for us and we felt comfortable immediately, a great choice of a place to stay. We did meet Sue who was really a nice person and extremely helpful when we had a problem with our car. Hope to go back one day, would highly recommend the Coach house . In addition the area is beautiful, the people friendly and the Blue Boar Pub very well worth a visit.

  • "The coach house is a lovely little place and the hosts are really thoughtful."

The place is spotless clean and close to some nearby facilities as shops, pubs, restaurants and entertainment such as go karting, fishing lakes etc. The people in the area are friendly and at the pub etc they will happily chat over to you, in the local shops they were helpful not to mention that the local area also has nice walks and countryside. The only downsides to this is that there is no real garden so the outdoor space is very limited if travelling with dogs or young kids that may want to play out in an enclosed garden. However the terrace area is lovely to sit out and enjoy a drink, plus there are nearby walks and parks to go with dogs and kids if able. The main problem with the Coach House is the street you have to come up to the house which is a steep terrace street but it hasn’t seemingly been surfaced , which was no problem for my 4x4 but I was concerned it was damaging my sons little BMW which made it up but struggled . There is only one official space to park once up the top as well. So a second car has to find somewhere to potentially park on the street, of which you can do . That said there are a lot of small cars parked on the street up which also have to navigate this very uneven track and they seem to manage so I may just be worrying to much, I did drive my sons car up one day and after a lot of noise and wheel spinning I made it , which I didn’t enjoy . However again it may say more about how nervous I was at driving up this surface. It is possible to park below ans walk up and as a short street it’s not a long walk up at all , a minute or so at most. Once at the top the Coach house is beautiful and cosy little space to spend a lovely weeks break, which is what we did. I would recommend it for lovely scenery with the view from the windows over looking cows fields and from the from window you can see down across the lovely fields below. It has all the home comforts you will need and a good selection of games to entertain kids to adults. Lovely little kitchen to cook and sit around the table to a nice family meal etc.

  • "Absolutely lovely cottage inside, it had everything we needed and the welcome flowers, cake and alcohol was a lovely touch."

Although there was a decking area outside it didn't get any sun until about 7pm and the lovely view of the fields was obstructed by a smaller unused building. The road leading up to the cottage was in urgent need of repair and we worried about damaging our car getting to the cottage. Overall we enjoyed our stay but I'm not sure if we would return as we have done what we wanted to do in the area.
