The historic little market town of Masham is situated in the lower reaches of pretty Wensleydale alongside the River Ure. Set in gently rolling farmland, the town boasts a huge market square, where a Wednesday market has recently been joined by a popular Saturday market. There are lots of walks around the area, including a recently reopened 10 mile walk along the Ure, arguably one of the best walks in the UK. The town boasts a good range of crafts, galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs and has become best known perhaps as the home of two breweries Theakstons of Old Peculiar fame and more recently the Black Sheep Brewery, which now brews 11 million pints of beer a year! The popular towns of Ripon and Harrogate are an easy drive away. With so much to see and do in the area, this is a great place for a holiday in all seasons.

Previous visitors' comments about Sunnymede:
Cottage was very homely, central to the Dales yet tucked away cosy and quiet. No air or light pollution. Nice touch with the welcome pack, tea, milk, butter, bread, marmalade and biscuits.
Mr Sharp, Horley, October 2011
Lovely cottage, lovely location. Quiet and peaceful, with good cattle action in the field opposite.
Mr Humberstone, Preston, June 2011
The cleanliness of the property and the welcome pack showed that the owner cared about the visitors. Although a terraced property the walls were so thick that not a sound could be heard from the neighbours.
Mrs Warren, Poole, June 2011
Great location, small but cosy cottage.
