Location: Pateley Bridge

Grassington 12 miles; Harrogate 12 miles.

A charming Dales town nestling in the steep-sided valley of the River Nidd. Quaint little alleys and yards off the steep main street house many interesting shops offering a wide range of unusual gifts and mementos. The town is well known for its prize-winning floral displays, whilst the leisure centre offers splendid sports facilities and the riverside park with children’s play area is not to be missed. Also worth a visit are the town’s Craft Workshops and the award winning Nidderdale Museum - a lively collection of displays illustrating all aspects of Dales life in the past. Up and downstream, the Nidd Valley offers excellent opportunities for walking and bird watching.

Previous visitors' comments about Ashfold Chalet:

Excellent location and environment - quite secluded and leafy. Good value for money, and surprisingly spacious for a chalet. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back.
Mr Gill, Edinburgh, October 2009

We enjoyed the silence and the beautiful nature so very near the house! We felt at home. It was cosy and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
Mrs Mohr, Diepersdorf, September 2009

Location was as described and was perfect. Comfortable beds. Space to run and kick a football. A stream to "mess about in" (all kids love water!)
Mr Case, Manchester, June 2009

Good location, beautiful surroundings, good parking on site and cheap parking in surrounding areas. Nice part of the world.
