Also worth a visit are the town’s Craft Workshops and the award winning Nidderdale Museum - a lively collection of displays illustrating all aspects of Dales life in the past. Previous visitors' comments about River View:

River View was one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The owners are the most welcoming, friendliest people we have met. The welcome tray was a lovely touch and yummy. A beautiful cottage and it is a credit to the owners, everything you needed for your stay was there, I didn't unpack some of the things we took with us. We had fantastic weather and thank the owners for letting us share a little piece of their heaven.
Mrs Leightell, Gateshead, March 2012

Our third visit to River View. Excellent cottage, lovely location, great walks from door and lovely friendly owners.
Mrs Hart, King's Lynn, March 2012

Kind and friendly hosts who gave a warm welcome and were helpful beyond all expectations. The kitchen lacked nothing and was a joy to cook in. Close proximity to good mountain biking.
Mr Millar, Manchester, February 2012

This is a gem of a property, and provided an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome on our arrival, and made certain that we had everything we could possibly need. This is the second time this year that we have stayed at River View, and we look forward to returning in the coming year. We would highly recommend it.
