This quiet Dales village is of ancient origin, with a stone circle dating back to the Bronze Age and having been the site of a monastic settlement in the 12th Century. Today it is popular with walkers and steam railway enthusiasts who come to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside and the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, with its award-winning authentic station buildings and steam trains. The Old Mill in the village centre boasts a needlecraft centre and coffee shop, whilst all the amenities and attractions of the lively bustling market town of Skipton are close at hand. Nearby are lots of popular places to visit, including Bolton Abbey, Kilnsey and Grassington making this an ideal location for a wonderful Dales holiday.

Lovingly restored and offering well presented and cosy accommodation, the cottage boasts many original features such as a feature window with views of Embsay Crag, a Yorkshire stone floor in the kitchen and the original cellar. Outside, a large mature garden with bike storage and pretty garden views makes this an ideal holiday home. Explore the village and its traditional old pubs (which all serve food), enjoy one of the extensive walks from the doorstep, or visit the market town of Skipton and the popular Wharfedale villages of Bolton Abbey, Burnsall and Grassington, whilst Harrogate, York and Bronte Country are also nearby - there really is something for everyone! Note: This property can be booked with ref 2020 to accommodate up to 8 people.
