  • "Not the cleanest of properties, last tenant had left a bag of dog poo in view from the kitchen window, one of the patio chairs was broken and lots of cobwebs in very easy places to clean."

It would be nice to have swept the outside area around the hot tub and the fence post on the outdoor steps is extremely loose. (THIS IS DEFINITELY A HEALTH & SAFETY ISSUE) The shower in the en-suite needs fixing properly to the wall too. It would be good if there were toilet roll holders on the walls, rather than playing ‘hunt the toilet roll’ In the kitchen there are a number of broken items, like garlic press and some of the plastic tumblers. The sharp knives are blunt and there is no knife sharpener to sharpen them. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t let this put us staying again.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are really sorry that these issues impacted your stay, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know. The points you’ve raised have been taken on board. The cleaning concerns, including the dog waste, cobwebs, and broken patio chair, have been addressed with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure this doesn’t happen again. The outside area by the hot tub has also been fully swept and tidied. Thank you again, your Cornish Cottage Holidays Team Property Owner

The back garden area was completely unkept, had birds poo everywhere and the hot tub wasn't fit for use, the cleaner was lovely and had done their best for a pleasant stay however , there was mould in the shower room, outdated and minimal furniture downstairs

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us. We truly appreciate you bringing these points to our attention, and everything you’ve mentioned has now been addressed. The back garden area has been fully tidied, and the tree has been cut back to prevent the build-up of bird mess. The hot tub has also been serviced to ensure it is clean, safe, and fully fit for use for future guests. Indoors, the mould in the shower room has been treated, and we are reviewing and updating the furniture in the downstairs area to improve comfort and appearance. I’m glad to hear the cleaner made a positive impression, and we’ve passed your comments on to them. Thank you again for your helpful feedback — it really allows us to improve the guest experience moving forward. Property Owner

  • "A great location, just up the hill from the beach."

Very comfortable accommodation and the hot tub is lovely. Convenient parking space not too far away. The only issue is that the place could do with a really good deep clean. I noticed that there are brochures for the property inside so I assume the owner is selling the place so maybe not as much care has been taken over it as usual. Overall a great property with good sized accommodation and a fantastic location.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed the location, found the accommodation comfortable, and made good use of the hot tub. It’s great to know the parking worked well for you too. We are very sorry, though, that the cleanliness didn’t meet the standard you expected. We take this seriously, and your comments have been passed on to our housekeeping team so this can be addressed with a full deep clean. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Regarding the brochures, the property is currently on the market, but we can assure you that this does not change the level of care we take in preparing the home for guests. Your feedback helps us ensure that remains the case. Overall, I’m really glad you enjoyed your stay and the fantastic location, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. • "The hottub was not ready for us to use on the Sunday, we were unable to use it until Monday evening we were given an extra night stay in way of compensation, we went to use the hottub on the Thursday night and it had been emptied without our knowledge even though we had to pay an extra £30 admi fee."

Very disappointed in the way we were treated.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the hot tub during your stay. It’s unacceptable that the hot tub was not ready for use on the Sunday and that you had to wait until Monday evening. While the extra night was offered in compensation, I appreciate that this did not make up for the inconvenience. I’m equally sorry that the hot tub was drained later in the week without any communication. You should always be informed before any maintenance is carried out, and we apologise that this didn’t happen. Your comments have been taken very seriously. We’ve raised this with both the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure that hot tub preparation, servicing, and communication are handled properly moving forward so this doesn’t happen again. We truly value your feedback and are sorry that you felt let down. If there is anything further you’d like to discuss, we’re more than happy to help. Property Owner

  • "You approach on a narrow road with no passing places, I imaging in summer this would be pot luck to whether you'd meet another car and have a 500m reverse or not!"

One parking space on an incline, which was often parked in by others. Outdoor decking is dirty, covered in debris which has not been cleaned since autumn. The banister on the desking is rotten and would probably snap if you were to lean on it. The chairs and table outside (on both decks) are dirty and rusty. Windows are filthy, both internal (covered in previous dogs slaver) and externally. Moving into the property, sofas are damaged and worn, general cleanliness is shocking - large clumps of previous dog hair, dirty/dusty skirtings, marks on walls and furniture, sand on floors, stairs carpet dirty and stained. TV in main lounge does not pick up most channels - had to change remote batteries. In kitchen ceiling spot lights not working, fridge has a damaged seal so struggles to cool, oven has had all symbols rubbed away so difficult to use. Kitchen window and blind are filthy, kitchen door handle broken. Outdoor area to rear was covered in leaves, twigs and general mess. Door leading to this area had a broken handle. Hot tub cover was covered in bird mess... luxury this area was not! Upstairs, again floors, windows and furniture dirty. Bed was 'okay' I'm not sure its a kingsize though like advertised - two singles pushed together. Main bedroom door handle broken so couldn't close door - balcony out of bedroom glass railing was filthy and seats were rusty. The house in general could do with a good clean and refresh. Overall disappointing!

Thank you for your detailed feedback, and I’m really sorry the property wasn’t up to standard during your stay. The issues you’ve highlighted regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and the outdoor areas are completely unacceptable, and we understand how disappointing this must have been. All points have now been passed to our housekeeping and maintenance teams for immediate action, including a full deep clean and repairs to the items you mentioned. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’re genuinely sorry your experience fell short. If there’s anything further you’d like to discuss, we’re here to help. Property Owner

A great place to stay, very comfortable and clean house. We had a problem with the down stairs heaters (Not working). When I contacted the office about the problem they rectified this straight away and kept me informed during the process. Staff very polite and courteous. The Back yard were the hot tub is needed a sweep/Tidy prior to the our visit. Location is close to the beach/shops/chip shop/ and a couple of pubs. Other than that a fantastic place to stay and would recommend this place to all visiting.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We’re really pleased to hear you had a great family weekend at Tehidy and found the house comfortable and clean. • "Heater downstairs didn't work."

When we arrived the hot tub wasn't hot and was set at 21. We paid a substantial amount for 3 nights to include the use of the hot tub. The grounds around the hot tub needed sweeping. The Cooker has the timer and settings rubbed off, making it hard to work. Beautiful house and beds extremely comfortable.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m really sorry for the issues you experienced during your stay. The hot tub water is changed for every set of guests, and this can take some time to fully heat up. Thank you as well for pointing out the cooker controls. We’ve arranged for these to be replaced so it’s easier to use. I’m glad to hear you found the house beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable. We appreciate your feedback, and the points you’ve mentioned have now been actioned. Property Owner
