Previous Visitors' Comments
Cottage was really spacious and well equiped. Ideal area for exploring. Owners were friendly but unobtrusive. Lovely holiday.

Cottage was perfectly situated to access the beautiful coastline and the Cheviots. We all felt very relaxed and at home in the cottage, which was well furnished with everything we felt we needed. Generous touches from the hosts (bread, eggs, scones, wine etc) were wonderful.
Mrs Ware, Macclesfield, Cheshire

It truly was a home from home. Good location for access to area attractions, very peaceful and relaxing. Would like to return again.
Mr & Mrs Combes, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

The owners were just as described in the comments, very helpful but discreet. The location is peaceful. It is secluded but only a short distance from the A1 and hence all points of interest in the area.
Mr Hind, Glossop, Derbyshire

...Very relaxing, wildlife great. Plenty for everyone to do in the area.
Mrs Hines, Southend on sea, Essex
Jul 2006
An extremely comfortable, spacious and well-equipped cottage, ideally located for either touring or just relaxing. Helpful but unobtrusive owners next door.
Mr & Mrs King, SCARBOROUGH, North Yorkshire
May 2006
Peace Cottage is ideally located (car essential) for access to Bamburgh and local beaches, surrounding countryside, Holy Island and the Coastal Drive. The owners were excellent "hosts" and made us, and one large Dalmation, feel very welcome.
Mr & Mrs Copcutt, Wolverhampton, West Midlands
May 2006
The write-up in the brochure was extremely accurate and Peace Cottage was set in a very tranquil, rural location and was exactly what we wanted. The owners were lovely and, although they kept themselves to themselves, they were very approachable should we need them and extremely helpful.
Mrs Fawcett, Billingham, Cleveland
Jan 2006
Good access to local interests, Holy Island, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Scottish boarder towns. Edinburgh only 75 minutes away. Very friendly locals, a special mention to the people next door who care for the property...nice people, couldn't do enough for us, their hospitality was excellent. Also the whole area is very dog-friendly. Detchant wood (approx quarter mile up the road) is especially good for walking the dogs.
Mr Winstanley, Halifax, West Yorkshire
Oct 2005
The owners were very helpful and although just next door, managed to become "invisible" unless we needed anything. The cottage is ideally placed for both coast and country, extremely well equipped, and in a lovely spot. The area is very dog friendly, which is a real bonus.
