The limestone Churnet Valley is on the doorstep and The Manifold Trail is closeby. There is easy access to many of the area's attractions including Dovedale. A delightful stone built cottage on a working farm, situated in the rural hamlet of Bottomhouse within the parish of Ipstones, between Ipstones and Waterhouses. Created from the careful and thoughtful conversion of an old Dairy, the property is tastefully decorated, and retains much original charm, with exposed beams and a split stable door creating a charming holiday home. The front of the property boasts a large courtyard area and to the rear a small, enclosed garden with open views of the countryside is ideal for just relaxing, lighting the BBQ and watching the world go by. An ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, including the Manifold Valley and Tissington Trail as well as the Peak District National Park. Please note: The Dairy adjoins The Creamery (1099) and together they can accommodate up to 9 people.

A super location for easy access to Alton Towers etc. As anticipated, the cottage was slightly on the petite side, but certainly more than adequate for the 3 of us, and the quality of the accommodation more than compensated. Very friendly and helpful owners who were sociable and helpful without ever being intrusive. Would book again if returning to the area.
