Handily placed for touring, the City of York is only 11 miles away while the North York Moors steam railway in Pickering and the East coast seaside towns of Bridlington, Hornsea and Scarborough, as well as Whitby and Harrogate are all within an hour's drive. Local activities abound and the area is excellent for walking, cycling and exploring. Excellent footpath walks and quiet country lanes surround the cottage. With destinations such as York, The Moors, Scarborough and the coast within reach, this is an ideal base for couples wishing to tour the region.
