Jun 2008 | The property was as depicted both in photographs & written description. The owners were friendly, & informative about the area. Well positioned to explore the surrounding area, & easy access to major routes if one wanted to go further afield. A good mixture of things to do, ie good walks, National Trust properties, museums etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay & could thoroughly recommend this cottage as a holiday let.

Oct 2006 | The owners were friendly and informative, the condition of the accommodation was great, even more than I expected. There was plenty to see and do in the surrounding area with the local woods only a short walk or drive. There were plenty of information leaflets so it was easy to plan a day trip. The barn was both clean and comfortable and felt like home away from home.

Sep 2006 | Very friendly owners who are generous in the welcome pack we received, which also included a vase of fresh flowers and a bottle of wine - a nice touch. A great area to stay in and use as a base for the Mendies, which are a 40-minute drive away, but well worth the travelling. A very peaceful and quiet place, a really quaint cottage in a pretty little village.
