RYDE, ISLE OF WIGHT

Ryde, fondly known as "The Gateway to the Island", is the largest town on the Isle of Wight and became popular as a holiday destination in the 1820s. Today, the regular ferry, catamaran and hovercraft services make this lovely family resort accessible for all. There's so much to see and do, catering for all ages and interests within the town and local area including a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst the 6 miles of super, gently sloping sandy beaches are ideal for bathing. Along the esplanade there are bowling greens, an ice rink, tenpin bowling, putting greens and children's rides as well as a boating lake and paddling pool. With many other attractions within easy reach, Ryde provides a superb base for touring this picturesque Island.

The Property: Claremonte

A large Victorian semi-detached house, in a superb location less than 200 yards from the esplanade, sea front and sandy beaches at Ryde. Pleasantly furnished throughout, this property offers bright and spacious accommodation over three floors, (great for two families sharing) and makes an ideal base for seeing all the area has to offer. The ice rink, bowling alley and beach at Ryde are just a short walk, or venture further into the Island to discover the superb scenery and numerous castles, historic houses and wildlife sanctuaries. A superb holiday home in all seasons.

Four bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x family room with twin beds and adult bunks, 1 x second floor double with basin, 1 x second floor twin with ensuite (shower, basin & WC). Bathroom with bath (shower over), basin & WC. Ground floor WC & basin. Spacious kitchen with double range cooker and dining area. Utility room. Charming, bright living room with seating for 10.

Double size range gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD player, video, stereo/CD player etc. Washing machine & tumble dryer in utility room. Fuel & power inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot, highchair & stairgate. Shared use of lawned garden with patio, furniture & BBQ. Visitors parking permit supplied. Sorry, no smoking and no pets. Shops, pubs and amenities 100 yards.
