Jun 2008 | The location of The Retreat is great. The property is so well maintained and well stocked with all the essentials. The kids play area and hot tub were excellent. The garden was beautiful and safe, we could just let the kids play knowing they couldn't escape! The owners are so lovely and helpful.

May 2008 | The Retreat was even better than the photos and description. It was a beautiful place and the owners offer you a top notch home from home, as well as a warm welcome and bottle of wine! We spent cocktail hour each evening in the hot tub, glass of champagne in hand, nibbles in the other, enjoying the sunset and the cows watching over the fence from the next field. If it was raining then the rolltop bath was big enough for both of us anyway! The bed was the biggest and comfiest I have ever had from a holiday cottage, my poor old back didn't complain once. We will definitely return for another break next year.
