Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a 'smugglers' haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop and two pubs which serve food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket, restaurants etc as well as offering boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle & Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away. Full of charm, character and completely renovated by the current owners, the cottage provides cosy, warm and comfortable accommodation, including a spacious fitted kitchen/diner and an attractive enclosed walled garden, ideal for relaxing at the end of the day. Beach Cottage makes a delightful holiday home, close to all the amenities of this popular village. Most of the area's major tourist attractions are within easy reach, such as Alnwick Castle and Garden, Cragside, Lindisfarne on Holy Island, and Bamburgh as well as several good golf courses. Accommodation Three bedrooms: 1 x double with en-suite (separate shower, basin & WC), 2 x twin. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin & WC. Well equipped fitted kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with feature multi-fuel stove. Amenities Electric central heating throughout with additional heating from multi-fuel stove in the sitting room. Electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD player, radio, stereo/CD player etc. Electricity inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Towels are not provided. Garage parking for 1 car with additional off-road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed walled garden with furniture and BBQ, shared front courtyard. One well behaved pet welcome.
