Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach, and Alton Towers, Britain's premier theme park, is only a short drive away. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall to mention just a few, while the impressive caverns in nearby Castleton and Little John's burial place in Hathersage are also well worth a visit. Formerly two small dwellings, the cottage is furnished in a traditional style, with an abundance of oak fixtures, exposed stonework, hand painted pottery and a stable door. The accommodation is warm and cosy, with the character further enhanced by the two quirky staircases leading to each bedroom! In a location 500 yards from the amenities of Bakewell and in the heart of the Peak District National Park, Anne Cottage makes an ideal and interesting holiday base. Accommodation Two bedrooms: 1 x king size double with en-suite bath, basin & WC, 1 x twin with en-suite shower cubicle, basin and WC. Fully fitted kitchen with dining area. Utility room. Cosy sitting room with beamed ceiling and coal effect gas fire. Amenities Full gas central heating with additional heating from coal effect gas fire in the sitting room. Gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD player, radio etc. Additional fridge/freezer and washer/dryer in utility room. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot & highchair available. Reserved on road parking in front of the cottage for two cars. Small courtyard with garden furniture. One well behaved pet welcome.
