An attractive village nestling on the northern slopes of the Cairngorms National Park, at 1160ft Tomintoul boasts the title of Highest Village in the Highlands. Tomintoul offers a fine selection of shops and pubs, and is situated on the main road between Royal Deeside and the Highlands, making it an excellent base for exploring all that the region has to offer. There is stunning scenery, the renowned Whisky and Castle trails, walk along the Speyside trail, or ski at nearby Lecht & Aviemore - the choice is yours!

The Property: Tomachroon

Tomintoul 7 miles. A lovely detached property in the scattered hamlet of Glenlivet, in the heart of Speyside, surrounded by heather clad hills and clear burns amidst some of the finest woodland in the Grampian Highlands. Offering light and airy accommodation, Tomachroon is well equipped and comfortable and has been finished to a good standard. The delightful enclosed garden (which is guarded by Blairfindy Castle) is perfect for children, making an ideal base for families who yearn for a relaxing break in peaceful surroundings. Take a tour around the Glenlivet whisky distillery, which takes its name from the hamlet. The Speyside Way provides excellent opportunities for walking, whilst the Castle trail, situated in nearby Aberdeenshire, is also well worth exploring.

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin with additional single if required. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen. Dining room. Sitting room with open fire.

Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, colour TV, video, stereo/CD player etc. All fuel, power and starter pack for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available on request. Off road parking for one car. Enclosed lawned garden with garden furniture and BBQ. One well behaved pet by arrangement. Shop 3 miles, pub 10 mins walk.
