Jun 2007 | The Malthouse is amazing. Worth much more than 3 stars. Its accommodation is positively luxurious with very friendly, helpful owners and lovely walks.

May 2007 | An ideal location for walking. The owners were very friendly and kind and provided lots of information regarding local amenities and even a 7 day printed weather forecast. Downstairs was open plan therefore ideal for pram and dog, lots of space. We have recommended it to some friends and family already and will definitely go back there.

Apr 2007 | Having visited the Malthouse in June 2005 - this was a return visit for myself, my friend and dexter the dog. Once again, the cottage was up to the highest possible standard including standard of furnishings and cleanliness. We found the accommodation super, the holiday was very relaxing and peaceful and we were very lucky with the weather. There are lots of lovely places to visit in the area - far too many to mention. I particularly enjoyed visiting Ludlow and all the fabulous food shops, butchers and delis and the famous cafes and restaurants - excellent local food! Although none of our party were disabled, the accommodation is fitted out, in my opinion, with excellent facilities, including bathroom facilities, both downstairs and upstairs and a lift(which Dexter the dog found useful on a couple of nights when he couldn't make it up the stairs!! - mind you, so did I!! overall - I would recommend the cottage and Sykes Cottages to everyone!

Feb 2007 | The owners were very friendly and helpful. After my son and his wife stayed at the cottage over the first weekend, the bed linen and towels were changed ready for us and our friends to arrive. Although none of our party are disabled, it was nice to see that this cottage has been thoughtfully designed for wheelchair access and use.

Feb 2007 | The warm welcome we received started the holiday off well. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. It was so lovely to stay in a place that hadn't had all the character stripped from it! The beams and bare stone walls are lovely. The bedrooms were presnted to such a high standard that they've given me ideas on how to style my own home! The area is idyllic and we would certainly like to return to the cottage to explore the area more. Wouldn't change anything about the accomodation. We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed our stay very much.

Jan 2007 | The house was wonderful, and the quiet location (but with a good selection of pubs) was perfect for a relaxing week in the countryside. Surrounded by rolling green hills, quiet country lanes and a farmyard of donkeys, cows and alpacas we couldn't have asked for more. Many thanks also to the owners, who went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed.
Mr Conway, London,
