Betws-y-Coed 6 miles.

Situated in the beautiful Lledr Valley at the foot of Moel Siabod in the Snowdonia National Park, just 6 miles from the popular tourist centre of Betws-y-Coed, the pretty village of Dolwyddelan is an ideal location from which to explore the whole of this spectacular mountain region. There are numerous walks in the mountains and the Gwydyr Forest, whilst close at hand is the 12th Century Dolwyddelan Castle, which boasts magnificent views from its battlements. The Afon Lledr is noted for trout and salmon fishing, and visiting golfers are welcome at the 9-hole course at Betws-y-Coed. Dolwyddelan village has a late-opening general store and two pubs serving bar meals, whilst within 8 miles, Betws-y-Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llanrwst offer a full range of amenities.

A traditional semi-detached stone built cottage located in a quiet lane just 300 yards from Dolwyddelan village centre. The property offers cosy, comfortable accommodation including a Victorian fireplace and large picture window in the sitting room, from which wonderful views of the Lledr Valley and mountains beyond can be enjoyed. Relax on the terrace and soak up the view, enjoy the many scenic walks and cycle trails from the doorstep, or explore nearby Betws-y-Coed with its specialist shops and restaurants. Snowdonia and the many attractions of North Wales are all within easy reach - ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Accommodation

Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x adult bunk with additional single Z bed. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor cloakroom with WC and basin. Fitted kitchen with dining area. Large utility room. Sitting room with open fire and lovely views.

Amenities

Full oil central heating throughout with additional heating from open fire in sitting room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD player, stereo/CD player, small library of DVDs etc. Fuel, power and starter pack of fuel for the open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Stairgate available on request. Off road parking space in front of property for 1 small/medium size car, with additional roadside parking in quiet street 3 mins away. Gravelled terrace and patio area with garden furniture and BBQ to front of property. One well behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 3 mins walk. Note: From the gate there are 16 steps leading up to the property.

The local pub was served excellent food, and the host where very friendly. There was a lovely view from the lounge window of the cottage. The cottage was ideally situated to see all parts of Snowdonia within a short drive.

It was the small touches like the fire being built on arrival and the tea, milk and welsh cakes in the kitchen. The views from the cottage were lovely and the walks were fantastic.

Internal photos do not do this property justice. More spacious downstairs than imagined. Excellent for walking. Private patio area to side of property is ideal for relaxing and BBQ's. Lovely scenery from cottage.
