It is a lovely homely cottage in a beautifully quiet and secluded setting. beautifully quiet and secluded setting. We were able to sit out in the garden - the owner has thoughtfully supplied deckchairs. It is well located for car trips and also plenty of country walks. We won't hesitate to recommend Hillgate House to our friends and would love to return again.

It was peaceful, warm and comfortable. The house is in a lovely position - especially good to be able to walk straight out onto the moor. We didn't have to drive much at all.
