Llangollen 3 miles; Bala 18 miles.

The tiny hamlet of Llandynan consists of just eight houses and occupies a peaceful, hillside location, overlooking the beautiful Dee Valley and Berwyn Mountains beyond. Within a 15 minute walk of the hamlet lies the renowned Sun Inn pub, a 14th Century former Drovers Inn serving exquisite food, which attracts patrons from near and far. The picturesque town of Llangollen, with its dramatic mountain backdrop is a mere 3 miles away, offering a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent golf course and superb white water rafting and canoeing opportunities. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Bran to enjoy the breathtaking view from high above the town. The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the 'Seven Wonders of Wales'. The Offa's Dyke Path passes nearby, whilst the medieval city of Chester, with its celebrated zoo and fantastic shops is within easy driving distance. An ideal location for a varied and enjoyable holiday, at any time of year.

A delightful, 15th Century, stone built cottage, situated in the pretty hillside hamlet of Llandynan, just 3 miles from Llangollen. Comfortable and spacious throughout, this charming, detached property oozes character, including a wealth of exposed beams, quarry tile and oak floors, a hand-crafted kitchen and a warming open fire in the lovely sitting room. Breathtaking views across the valley and towards the Berwyn Mountains can be enjoyed from almost every room, whilst the beautiful, well-established garden with decked area provides an ideal spot for alfresco dining. Take a short stroll to the celebrated, 14th Century Sun Inn pub, renowned for its fine cuisine, whilst nearby Llangollen offers a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants, together with superb scenic walks. The more energetic can take advantage of excellent white water rafting and canoeing facilities in both Llangollen and nearby Bala, whilst the whole of Snowdonia and the North Wales coast is within easy touring distance. An ideal property for friends and family alike.

Three bedrooms: 1 x kingsize double, 1 x twin (2'6" wide beds), 1 x single. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen. Utility room. Dining room with decorative inglenook fireplace. Sitting room with open fire.

Full oil central heating with additional heating from open fire in sitting room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, colour TV, video, DVD, CD player etc. Fuel, power and starter pack of fuel for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Travel cot available. Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed, lawned garden with patio and decked areas with garden furniture and BBQ. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome at £10 per dog per week. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3 miles, pub 1 mile.

The location was superb for a quiet getaway, with spectacular views! The inglenook fireplace was lovely as was the rest of the cottage, really felt at home and would recommend to a friend, also planning a return visit when can get some free time!
