The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a new marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters - the daily catch can be bought at a fish shop in the harbour. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle and charming Alnwick with its castle and award winning gardens are both within easy reach.

A delightful, mid terraced cottage, ideally located just 400 yards from the shore, in the pretty fishing port of Amble. This most comfortable and cosy property is tastefully decorated throughout and boasts a well equipped, modern kitchen, a spacious sitting room with warming open fire and a quaint patio garden offering an ideal spot for a relaxing evening drink. Amble affords a colourful harbour hosting a wide variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants, whilst the new marina flourishes with an array of vibrant naval activity. Enjoy picturesque, coastal walks to Coquet Island, home to puffins and eider ducks and to the beautiful Druridge Bay Country Park and Nature Reserve. An array of pretty coastal villages and striking beaches are within easy reach, whilst the historic market town of Alnwick, with its renowned, Norman castle and gardens is just 9 miles away. An ideal base from which to explore Northumberland and its Heritage Coast.

Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Large open plan kitchen/dining room. Sitting room with open fire.

Fuel, power and initial supply of fuel for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available. Roadside parking for 2 cars. Small enclosed patio garden with garden furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. Note: This owner collects a refundable Good Housekeeping Bond of £50.

The cottage was immaculate. Very tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. There was not a thing that we needed that it didn't have. The wireless broadband was a great added perk to the cottage too. The landlady was very welcoming and very friendly, so all in all 10 out of 10.

A good house, worth the money. Will return in the future. Good for families as beach and rock pools so close. A very nice town, good amenities. Good for touring the area. Beaches first class. Very friendly locals.
