  • "We had a lovely holiday at the property and the owners Hannah and Roger were friendly and welcoming."

The property was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

  • "The house was beautiful and stocked with everything you could possibly need with a large garden for the children to play in, they loved it."

Location was good, nice and quiet but easy access to Cardigan and all shops you could need. The beds were comfy, the only problem for me was that all duvets and pillows were feather and I'm allergic but I just bought new pillows and as it wasn't cold managed with throw. The owners were very welcoming and friendly especially Hannah. We enjoyed our week here but wouldn't come again because of the condition of the road to get to it. As we live in rural Ireland we are used to narrow windy roads that wasn't the problem, the actual surface of the private bit to get to the property was. The condition of it was beyond awful which was a shame and spoiled an otherwise lovely week.

Very remote which was just to our taste. We had a wonderful quiet holiday and would recommend the Farmhouse to anyone wanting to get away from it all.

  • "The house is in a beautiful location at the end of a long farm track and it feels very remote and peaceful."

We loved the mix of traditional and modern styles and the house was full of warm, homely touches. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The weather was wet and windy most of the week so unfortunately we didn't make use of the lovely garden. We really appreciated the log burner on our return each evening though! Cardigan is a short drive away if you need a supermarket but there's a small shop/bakery in the village which can supply most things. Hannah was a great host - really helpful and friendly. Thanks for having us.

The owner was very helpful, having already allowed us to change our booking from earlier in the year. She welcomed us to the property personally and explained some of the property's quirks. She went out of her way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

  • "Penlanfach Farmhouse is in an idyllic setting; it feels like the middle of nowhere and surrounded by lush green fields, but is only a short drive to shops and fish and chips!"

It was also well situated for coastal and hill walking. The cottage is spotlessly clean, comfortable and the kitchen is equipped better than anywhere else we have stayed. We had a very relaxing time and feel thoroughly refreshed after a week with no WiFi! We really didn’t want to leave.

  • "We had a very relaxing and wonderful holiday at Hanna's place."

The cottage is situated away from busy roads in the countryside - very picturesque landscape and plenty of walking routes around. This is the nearest google maps location for navigation: https://goo.gl/maps/uZFyJP4LtarMnvxB6 The path to the cottage itself isn't marked in google maps, but here's the precise location: https://goo.gl/maps/2a4s6qL2gybDL9G9A - the path is obvious once you navigate to the earlier location. There's no internet connection but 4G coverage is available - we could watch YouTube videos on both Virgin and EE networks. I recommend turning off your phone though - just soak in the environment and breath the fresh air :)

  • "A beautiful and very peaceful place to use as a base when exploring all that Pembrokeshire has to offer."

The beds at the cottage were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The lane down to the cottage really is unsuitable for low vehicles, we have a Skoda Octavia and just about managed it though it was touch and go. Hannah did say the lane was particularly bad due to the recent flooding having washed away the top layer of gravel and she is going to get it sorted asap so unless you have a sports car or car with low suspension you should be ok. The cottage is well worth the drive

An opportunity to get away from the usual busy pace of life! Hannah and Roger were welcoming and helpful. Friendly but never intrusive!! The surrounding countryside was beautiful. It was peaceful just sitting in the garden and going for local walks. We had a few day trips to the nearby beaches… not too crowded despite being August. We definitely want to come back.

  • "My children and I had a wonderful weekend at the cottage."

Everything about Penlanfach exceeded our expectations. The welcome from the owners was friendly and welcoming and they had even gone to the trouble to put up a tasteful birthday banner which was a lovely personal touch. The property is finished to a very high standard, and is tastefully decorated. It really felt like a home from home, and set in the middle of tress, it felt even more beautiful to be surrounded by the colours of autumn. The beds were super comfortable and we all had a wonderful and peaceful nights sleep. It’s a really great place to explore North Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion and I would highly recommend to anyone. We certainly plan to return for a little tranquil weekend away from it all.

Very friendly hosts live next door and dealt with any issues very swiftly. The final part of the track is a bit bumpy but that part is very short (a minute or two) and was fine for our standard family car (and for Tesco delivery vans!). No wi-fi, but good to escape that for a while and there is freeview TV with excellent reception and a DVD player.

  • "Cottage was lovely, and was isolated which is what we wanted nice and peaceful."

Owners is cottage is next door but this was not a problem and the setting with the trees and pond and surrounding fields was beautiful. The cottage in side mixes old with new and the kitchen is more than adequate. A microwave would be nice for convenience but the gas cooker and modern kitchen were more than adequate. The owners Hannah and Roger were very pleasant and respected our privacy. Would recommend this cottage and the area. Notable points though are mobile phone signal was poor and the final stretch of track to the cottage has a high centre ridge so not ideal for sports type cars or low suspensions.
