The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent "links" golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore.

The Property: Brian's Cottage

A stone-built, mid-terraced farm cottage situated in a peaceful rural location on a working farm, about 2 miles from the village of Alnmouth and close to some of Northumberland's superb beaches. It is surrounded by picturesque countryside - the best of both worlds . . . coast and country! The owners personally welcome visitors and live in the nearby farmhouse. Recently modernised, the cottage offers comfortable, well equipped holiday accommodation. French doors open on to a large shared lawned area where children can play. An ideal base for a family holiday. Please note: Brian's Cottage adjoins Dorothy's Cottage Ref. 306 and Stephen's Cottage Ref. 787 and together they can accommodate up to 18 people.
