This quiet Dales village is of ancient origin, with a stone circle dating back to the Bronze Age and having been the site of a monastic settlement in the 12th Century. Today it is popular with walkers and steam railway enthusiasts who come to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside and the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, with its award-winning authentic station buildings and steam trains. The Old Mill in the village centre boasts a needlecraft centre and coffee shop, whilst all the amenities and attractions of the lively bustling market town of Skipton are close at hand. Nearby are lots of popular places to visit, including Bolton Abbey, Kilnsey and Grassington making this an ideal location for a wonderful Dales holiday.

A delightful, stone built cottage, situated at the very heart of the popular Dales village of Embsay, just 1.5 miles from Skipton. Set over three floors, Pasture Cottage features a wonderful first floor sitting room with open fire and a pleasant balcony, ideal for sitting out and enjoying the pretty views across the garden and nearby pasture. The well equipped kitchen boasts a fabulous Rayburn, whilst the spacious second floor bedroom offers lovely views over Embsay Crag. Enjoy a delicious meal at the welcoming Cavendish Arms, stroll along the pretty footpaths that wind their way through the peaceful village of Embsay, take a relaxing steam train ride or visit the nearby market town of Skipton with its quaint cobbled streets. An ideal romantic retreat at any time of year.

Over three floors: Two bedrooms: 1 x 2nd floor double, 1 x 2nd floor single with additional pull out stacker bed. 1st floor bathroom with bath with shower over, basin & WC. Ground floor kitchen. Ground floor utility/WC. Ground floor dining room with snug & gas fired Rayburn. 1st floor sitting room with open fire.

Amenities

Full gas central heating throughout, open fire in sitting room, gas fired Rayburn in dining room/snug. Rayburn cooker, additional electric oven & gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, colour TV, DVD, radio/cassette/CD. Small library of books/games. Fuel, power & starter pack of fuel for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Towels available at charge of £5 per person per week. Roadside parking for 1 car (first come first served basis). Small patio garden with garden furniture (no lawn). One well behaved pet welcome (age 1 yr and over only). Sorry no smoking. Shop & pub 2 mins walk.
