  • "We enjoyed a comfortable stay in Eudon Burnell Cottage."

Sarah, very friendly, popped round early evening on the day we arrived to say hello and ensure everything was ok. A big bonus for us was the use of a Type 2 tethered charger for our electric car. A very peaceful location, only the occasional vehicle passing on the single track road outside the cottage. We loved hearing the varied birdsong in the garden. Well equipped spacious kitchen with a lovely view from the window, some freshly laid eggs, tulips & a bottle of Prosecco. We had a fabulous week of wall to wall sunshine to explore the lovely countryside, English Heritage & National Trust properties. A week wasn’t long enough to visit all the attractions! We would love to stay again if the opportunity arose.

  • "The cottage is full of character in a very quiet location along a single-track lane and with beautiful countryside views; we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden watching the varied birdlife."

However, there are lots of amenities nearby and fascinating places to visit and we were well aware from the start that one week would definitely not be enough! Sarah is a lovely host, friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the fresh eggs from the nearby farm and the bottle of prosecco. One important factor in choosing this cottage was that EV charging is provided and this was freely available to us for a very reasonable charge. Thanks for everything, we'd love to return!

Will miss the view from the kitchen very much. If anyone is looking for a traditional country cottage, this is it. Loved it and will return.

We're looking forward to coming back here to further explore the beautiful surroundings and hopefully enjoy a few BBQ's in the garden.

The property is very homely and perfect to come back to after a day on the hills. Some fixtures and fittings are showing their age, but that just adds to the charm. Beds and sofas are comfortable and the location is blissfully quiet.

  • "Lovely Cottage in a rural and peaceful lane."

Great for country walks, especially if you have a dog. The beds were very comfortable and sitting infront of the log burner in the evening after a day of sightseeing was very relaxing. Nice fully equipped kitchen with a big dining table. Only 3 miles from Bridgnorth, very handy as we went into town most days. Sarah was very friendly, and we will be back next year. Thank you. Oh, and we highly recommend High Town Grill fish and chip shop. The best fish and chips!!!

  • "We spent three lovely weeks at Eudon Burnell."

The weather was great, which always helps of course ;) The cottage is in a rural setting so you do need some form of transportation to get you anywhere. Sarah, the owner, was very helpful and came round to change sheets and towels and to check if we were okay - especially when the water pressure went down, she provided us with plenty of bottled water. Beds were nice, space was quite good for a family of four and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the swallows nesting under the roof.

  • "Lovely peaceful retreat."

Very comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen. Great garden for picnics and games with the granddaughters but also some shade for the pup, although a secure fence within the hedge would be an advantage. Owner very helpful, flexible, and generous - free range eggs and Proseco left for our enjoyment.

  • "Very comfy, well-equipped traditional cottage in very quiet rural location, ideally placed for visiting Shropshire towns such as Ludlow, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury, as well as Bridgnorth."

Good for nature lovers, with deer seen in the lane, hedgehogs in the garden, skylarks in the field opposite and house martins nesting in the eves.

  • "A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location."

The cottage came with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very clean and well looked after. The enclosed garden was perfect for our young children. It's location meant it is the perfect base to explore Stropshire as it was only 30 minutes drive maximum to reach everywhere we wanted to visit whilst being located in the quiet and picturesque countryside. The owner was the most amazingly friendly lady who was easy to contact and was most welcoming. The fresh eggs and bottle of wine were lovely touches too. We had a lovely week here and would defiantely stay again next time we visit the area. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to visit Shropshire.

  • "Unfortunately had to end our stay early due to the amount of times we had to rearrage our day to accommodate workmen sometimes at very short notice."

We welcome feedback and have already discussed the issue raised by customer. There were 2 appointments cancelled at short notice due the gas engineer having family Covid related issues which could not be avoided and completely understandable in this period of Covid 19. The work due to be carried out was essential maintenance. A further appointment was arranged in consultation with the customer at their convenience. Customer feedback did not identify any other issues with the holiday cottage during stay. Property Owner

  • "This cottage was in a lovely quiet location down a narrow lane with no passing traffic."

The best way to reach the cottage is from the B4363 and not the B4364 as recommended by Sykes. The lane is much shorter approaching from the B4363 and avoids some of the holes in the lane. This cottage had a very well equipped kitchen including everything you could need. Beds were comfortable and due to the quiet location slept very well. I would definitely stay here again.

About the location

BRIDGNORTH

Much Wenlock 8 miles; Ironbridge 15 miles; Shrewsbury 20 miles; Ludlow 20 miles; Church Stretton 20 miles.

The market town of Bridgnorth lies in two very distinct halves - the High Town and the Low Town - separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. The two halves are connected by winding streets and flights of steps, or there is always the steep funicular railway, enabling the weary traveller to glimpse what Charles I called "the finest view in all my kingdom". A bustling Saturday street market provides an ample excuse to explore the town and examine the castle ruins, which lean at a greater angle than the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Flowing below is the River Severn, providing many pleasant riverside walks. The Severn Valley Railway runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, and runs a variety of steam and diesel engines through picturesque country stations. In the areas surrounding Bridgnorth, there are a wealth of country parks, impressive houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages, as well as easy access to The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, and Ironbridge Gorge, with its 10 museums and striking landscape. The area offers excellent walking, and with the popular destinations of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton all within easy reach, it is ideal for a visit any time of the year.

This property will accept 1 well behaved Dog - there is an additional £25 per week supplement
