Ref: 2233 The Cottage
NAIRN Inverness 16 miles. Nairn is an attractive and lively seaside town dating back to Victorian times. It has long been a popular holiday destination and is just 16 miles from the Millenium town of Inverness. Nairn even lays claim to being one of the driest and sunniest places in the country! The town offers some of the top beaches in Scotland and cleanest bathing waters in Britain. Also one of the only two dolphin colonies in the UK is based in the Moray Firth. Nairn is steeped in history and is closely linked with the Battle of Culloden, whilst nearby Fort George is Europe's best preserved 18th Century military fortification. Golfing enthusiasts will be attracted to the two 18-hole championship courses, including the Nairn Golf Club which staged the Walker Cup in 1999. An ideal centre for exploring, or just relaxing. | Previous Visitors' Comments | Cottage was ideally situated for harbour, beach and shops. Very pleasant resort with clean sandy beaches.lots of places to visit nearby.
Mr & Mrs Hutton, Macclesfield, Cheshire
Jun 2009 | The cottage was beautiful, everything we could have asked for. Close to all amenities, beach etc. The problem was the noise from the pubs over the road and to the back of us. Music until past midnight, foul language and shouting from customers into the early hours of the morning did not make for a good nights sleep over the weekends. That is the only reason we would not recommend to anyone. Could not find fault with cottage itself. It was immaculate and extrememly well kept.
Mrs Whinney, Ipswich, Suffolk
May 2009 | It was central to everything in Nairn so we did not have to use the car. Thank You.
Mr Higgins, Brecon, Powys

Jul 2008 | An extremely warm, friendly & thoughtful greeting from the owner & the neighbour. The cottage had everything we needed & was very well equipped including the option of an open fire as well as central heating.
