Nearby is Beddgelert, regarded as one of the most attractive villages in the United Kingdom and named after the famous legend of Gelert the dog. This lovely riverside village boasts quality pubs and eating houses as well as excellent outdoor pursuit centres, offering a variety of activities. Close by are wonderful beaches, castles, National Trust properties, slate caverns, mountain railways and the Portmeirion Italianate Village. The Property: Glanaber An attractive 19th Century, semi detached, stone built cottage situated in the tiny hamlet of Nant Gwynant, close to the River Glaslyn and Lake Gwynant in the heart of Snowdonia. A former quarryman's cottage, Glanaber is surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery in the Snowdonia National Park and has been successfully renovated, combining some original features with modern fixtures and fittings. The property offers a warming woodburner and a lovely terraced garden with decked area, providing wonderful mountain views. Nearby is the start of the famous Watkin Path, which ascends Snowdon, and with the Yr Aran and Moel Hebog mountains close by, this is a paradise for climbing, walking and mountain biking. Visit the village of Beddgelert, Porthmadog, wonderful Black Rock Sands beach and picturesque Betws-y-Coed.
