Hereford 7 miles; Hay-on-Wye 14 miles; Ross-on-Wye 14 miles.

This rural village stands on the edge of the Golden Valley, an area renowned for its beautiful countryside and scenic walks. This historic village is mentioned in the Domesday Book as "Land of the Kings" and is also the home of the 12th century stone church of St. Michael and All Saints, with its impressive Norman tower. There is a village pub and a local shop, while a wide range of amenities are available in Hereford, 7 miles away. With its magnificent cathedral, and medieval bridge over the winding River Wye, Hereford is the very image of picturesque England, and a perfect base from which to explore the region's beautiful countryside, with delightful Black and White villages, excellent pubs, restaurants, and antique shops. Famous for cider production, Hereford is also home to the world famous Mappa Mundi, the largest pre-15th century map in existence, as well as the Chained Library, a collection of over 1500 rare books.

Located on the edge of the lovely Golden Valley, an area renowned for its scenic walks, High Croft is a comfortable, well-equipped property with a spacious first floor sitting room and bedroom, both with countryside views. The lawned garden with private patio and pretty gazebo, are perfect for relaxing, not to mention dining alfresco. Scenic walks, cycle trails, fishing and golf are all available locally, while the city of Hereford with its 11th century cathedral - housing the famous Mappa Mundi and medieval Chained Library, Cider Museum, and variety of shops and restaurants, is a must for any visitor. Browse through over 30 book shops in Hay-on-Wye, stroll along the picturesque Black and White Village Trail, and why not visit the delightful Ross-on-Wye, Symonds Yat - popular for canoeing and balloon flights - and all of the beautiful Wye Valley? An excellent base for a relaxing break, all year round.

One double bedroom with countryside views. Bathroom with bath, shower, basin and WC. First floor living room with dining area, countryside views and futon (sleeps 2). Ground floor fitted kitchen. Entrance hall.

One well behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 8 mins walk. Note: Babes in arms only please.

Well equipped, plenty of games, books, DVDs etc. Couldn't be improved on. Comfortable, clean, pleasant. The owners were very welcoming, everything provided, milk, tea etc. on arrival plus beautiful vase of flowers.
