A traditional old village made up of stone built cottages and farmhouses, West Witton enjoys dramatic views of Penhill and its limestone scars, along with Bolton Castle, lush rolling countryside and the surrounding fells. The village boasts two pubs, one of which, the Wensleydale Heifer won the 2006/07 AA 'England's best seafood pub' award, a well stocked village shop and a pretty green. Across the valley from the village stand the imposing ruins of Castle Bolton, while Leyburn, with its wide range of amenities and weekly market, Middleham, with its Norman Castle, famous racing stables and pretty old market square surrounded by delightful shops, pubs and restaurants, and the picturesque Aysgarth Falls, are just a short drive away. A superb base for a walking holiday, for enjoying the delights of Wensleydale or for touring the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales. The village's shop and two pubs are just 2 minutes' walk away - an ideal retreat for exploring beautiful Wensleydale at any time of the year! Accommodation Three bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin, 1 x bunk beds (2ft 6' - suitable for children). Bathroom with electric shower over bath, wash basin and WC. Spacious open-plan living room with fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, sitting and dining areas. There is an open fire in the sitting area. Amenities Oil fired central heating throughout with additional heating from open fire in sitting area. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, colour TV, video, CD player and radio etc. All fuel, power, coal and starter pack of logs inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels available for hire at £4.50 p.p.p.w. Cot and highchair on request. Off-road parking for two cars. Small garden/sitting areas with garden furniture and BBQ.
