Aug 2007 | The cottage is very nicely furnished and comfortable, with everything we needed. We really enjoyed having it as a base for our daily trips around the Dales.

Jun 2007 | Middleham is a perfect base for a Dales holiday - quiet (mind it was May) but with all the basic facilities - small supermarket and a choice of eating establishments. Interesting castle, lovely walk along the river and a horse fanciers heaven with all the racing stables. Jade Cottage is a little haven hidden away from the main street and very pretty. Nearby Leyburn has just about everything you might need. But be careful of the Teashop Pottery - I spent a small fortune there. The Throstlenest Tours are a must - well organised with a very pleasant and knowledgeable driver. You see so much more than you would by car. I'm a frequent visitor to the Dales and the tour covered many routes and places that I had already visited but I learnt loads and saw things that I'd not noticed before.
Mrs Keatley, Newport, Gwent
May 2007 | Well furnished and clean accommodation in a beautiful area.
Mr Hope, Manchester, Greater Manchester
May 2007 | Middleham is a lovely village with great walks etc. Fires in the open fire in the evening were lovely. The bed was really comfortable and the bedrooms had nice windows and were light. The owners and their dalmation were really nice and very welcoming, and the decor in the cottage was charming.
