NORBURY

Gnosall 3 miles; Stafford 12 miles.

Set in peaceful, rolling countryside on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border this is a lovely quiet hamlet with the wharf at Norbury Junction - a designated Conservation Area - being the focus of activity here! The quiet country lanes are ideal for cycling, and there is a pleasant Millennium Trail for walkers. The boatyard has a small shop, pub, gift shop and cafe, and there are more shops locally in the village of Gnosall. A full range of amenities is available a short drive away in Stafford. Popular attractions in the area include the Wedgwood and Gladstone Potteries, the RAF Museum at Cosford and Alton Towers.

Relaxing, locals friendly, plenty of space in the cottage even with a large german shepherd! Lovely to sit and look out of lounge window, perfect height for dog to sit and watch the ducks! All the family had an excellent time. Thankyou

Great having TV in the bedrooms. Excellent management of Norbury base - shop staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Lovely tea shop. Very dog friendly - great walks and the dogs really liked by the base staff. Will certainly recommend / book again.

We chose this property because it was close to where we used to live and it was a convenient base to use for meeting up with old friends. The pub was perhaps a little too convenient! George enjoyed collecting the newspaper from the shop each morning - made him feel really grown up (he's only six!)

The location and views are great and the people were very helpful and cooperative. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Each morning we had up to 30 pheasants in the adjacent field, and each day boats moving on the canal.
