A delightful, old stone built cottage situated close to the pretty Ribblesdale village of Langcliffe. Formerly the home of a mill worker, Locks Cottage stands at the end of a small row of traditional Dales cottages and is surrounded by peaceful Dales countryside. The setting is idyllic - the cottage overlooks an old mill pond and is close to the River Ribble as it winds downstream towards the popular market town of Settle. The cottage has been modernised, equipped and furnished to a high standard and enjoys lovely views over the garden and mill pond to the trees and hills beyond. There is excellent walking from the doorstep, not least along the riverbank. A wonderful base for a peaceful Dales holiday. Accommodation Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath with power shower over, wash basin and WC. Well equipped fitted kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with dining area, open fire and views over garden and mill pond. Amenities Full gas central heating and additional heating from open fire in sitting room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, automatic washer/dryer, dishwasher, colour TV, video, DVD player etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Garden overlooking mill pond with garden furniture and BBQ. Roadside parking for two cars. Smoking in downstairs rooms only. Sorry no pets. Post Office 0.5 miles. Shops/pubs etc. in Settle 1.5 miles. Note: The garden is unfenced and due to the proximity of the mill pond and river, children must be supervised at all times. |
