Like its well known neighbour the Dove, the Manifold cuts a course through superb scenery and is a delight for both walkers and cyclists with the "Manifold Trail" following the route of the old Leek to Manifold Light Railway. Warslow itself is a pretty stone built village, and close by is Hartington with a wide range of shops, whilst further afield is the market town of Ashbourne. The surrounding area has many pubs offering a good range of food and Alton Towers is just a 30 minute drive away. The Property: Town End Barn A wonderful, detached, stone barn conversion, situated in an idyllic rural position on the edge of the Peak District National Park, in the quiet village of Warslow. Surrounded by lovely countryside, Town End Barn sits in pretty grounds and offers wonderful views of Thor's Cave and the Manifold Valley. Recently renovated, with charming wood floors and a cosy wood burning stove in the stunning stone hearth in the sitting room, this spacious and comfortable accommodation makes a fantastic romantic hideaway. Excellent walking and cycling trails are available on the doorstep, whilst the local pub - The Greyhound - serves good food. Dovedale, with its famous River Dove, renowned as one of the most beautiful Rivers in the Peak area, is just a short drive away. Accommodation Two bedrooms: 1 x double with hotel quality ensuite (shower with basin and WC) and colour TV, 1 x ground floor twin with colour TV and video. Two additional chair beds available - suitable for children only. Bathroom with bath with electric shower over, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with dining area. First floor sitting room with beamed vaulted ceiling and woodburning stove. Entrance hall. Note: First floor is accessed by a spiral staircase via the twin bedroom. Amenities Full Gas (LPG) central heating via combi boiler with additional heating from woodburning stove in sitting room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, colour TV, video, CD player etc. First £25 of fuel and power inc. in rent, remainder charged at cost.
