Very well presented and lots of space. Kids loved the games room and the garden.

  • "We were three generations and three households gathering for Christmas."

The house ticked ALL our boxes - multiple areas to hang out [not all on top of each other], ground floor for elderly parents, three full bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped. Host was really responsive and helpful when storm Gerret took the electricity down. We were greeted with lovely Christmas trees too. The area is rural BUT only 10 mins drive to Ellon and short drive to Ythan, Slain Castle or or Bullers of Buchan (beautiful coast line). Benachie is worth a slightly longer drive for a fabulous hike. We had a wonderful winter break. Will be awesome in other seasons. Thank you Gaz !!

  • "Amazing property."

there was so much space for my little one to run around both inside and outside of the property and as there was so much space it meant we could all have our own spaces to relax in the evenings if needed. Gary the owner was lovely and very helpful and insightful. A wonderful place to stay for bird watching and coastal walks. The pool table was an added bonus :)

  • "Schoolhill Croft was the perfect place for our family holiday, we all loved the comfort , cleanliness and spaciousness of this beautiful house."

So good to have two sitting rooms and a games room, everyone could have their own space. It was the ideal base for all of our activities, there were lots of things to do with our nearly two year old grandson - a farm visit, seal watching, Haddo country park , Aberdeen Science Centre were all within a reasonable distance-and lots more. We would love to return soon!

Two separate lounges and bedrooms on ground and upper floors so very good for not getting under each others feet. Huge grassed garden for kids to play that is gated from the main road. Great views from the outside decking. I would highly recommend staying here.

5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a bonus for our family holiday. Teenagers loved the huge TV and games room with pool table, and novelty of American fridge/freezer! Enormous garden for outdoor activities. Delightful!

  • "This is the second time we have stayed, and we loved it just as much this time round."

The rooms are well furnished with beautiful views from any of the many windows you can look out from. Personally I love the kitchen it is magnificent with a great family dining area and sufficient equipment and appliances to cook up something great, the only thing I could suggest would be a few baking trays rather than the deep dish trays and maybe a pizza tray. We had 4 adults and 4 kids from 6 - 14 and they enjoyed the massive garden and games room. A little something outdoors for the kids would be a great addition. Would definitely recommend this property, it is a spectacular house and the towns around are picturesque.
