Aug 2005 | We felt that the holiday cottage was charming and its decor was in keeping with the cottage and most interesting. It was ideally situated to Bakewell, which made it easy for us to walk into town. It was also conveniently situated for all the main attractions such as Haddon Hall, The Heights of Abraham and Chatsworth House.

Aug 2004 | The recreational ground in Bakewell was brilliant our toddler and 11 year old(!!) enjoyed the paddling pool. Bakewell is a lovely place and has a good selection of eating places. We recommend Bakewell Balti it beats some of the curry shops in Bradford, the curry capital. We enjoyed a day out cycling at Lady Bower and Derwent Reservoir and the bus journey to Matlock Bath was interesting with an added bonus of discount ticket to heights of Abraham.
