The historic little market town of Masham is situated in the lower reaches of pretty Wensleydale alongside the River Ure. Set in gently rolling farmland, the town boasts a huge market square, where a Wednesday market has recently been joined by a popular Saturday market. There are lots of walks around the area, including a recently reopened 10 mile walk along the Ure, arguably one of the best walks in the UK. The town boasts a good range of crafts, galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs and has become best known perhaps as the home to the Black Sheep Brewery, which now brews 11 million pints of beer a year! The popular towns of Ripon and Harrogate are an easy drive away. With so much to see and do in the area, this is a great place for a holiday in all seasons.

The Property: Beech Lodge

Masham 3.5 miles. Beech Lodge is one of a group of four detached, Scandinavian style wooden lodges set in a quiet rural location, just 3.5 miles from Masham. Ideal for families, the lodges are set back down a long country lane. There is a pleasant veranda along the front of the property, with wooden table and chairs overlooking shared lawned areas - a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Inside the accommodation is simply and comfortably furnished with pine furniture in keeping with the style of the property. The open plan living and kitchen areas give the lodge a light and spacious feel.

Accommodation

All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x twin, 1 x bunks (narrow bunks - 80cm wide x 2m long). Bathroom with shower over bath, washbasin and WC. Small fitted kitchen, open to main living area, with sitting and dining areas with door out onto veranda with wooden furniture.

Slimline electric heaters in every room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, colour TV etc. Electricity inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot and high chair on request. Off-road parking for two cars by lodge. Shared lawned area around lodge. Up to two well-behaved pets welcome at £15 per pet per week. Sorry, no smoking. Shops etc 3.5 miles in Masham, pub 1 mile.
