Eyemouth Cottages

Just show me Eyemouth Cottages

Please find below a selection of self catering holiday cottages to rent in Eyemouth, Scotland.

Fishing, diving and golf...just a few features of an Eyemouth cottage holiday on the spectacular Berwickshire coastline.

Five miles north of the border, Eyemouth has been a bustling fishing port for centuries and a visit to the harbour and fish market early in the morning is a fascinating, not-to-be-missed experience! It's also worth noting there's a Seafood Festival in June and a Herring Queen Festival in July. There are sea angling trips, boat charters and opportunities for wreck and drift fishing, with cod, hake, haddock and mackerel (in season) all on the menu. And even if you don't fish, no doubt you'll enjoy a fish supper or seafood dinner during your stay!

Keen to learn more about the town's fishing heritage? Make sure the Eyemouth Museum is on your list of things to see and do.

If diving is your passion, the seas around Eyemouth are exceptionally clear, revealing a magical underwater world with abundant marine life. And there are courses for beginners. Eyemouth also has a sandy beach, popular with body boarders and snorkellers and, at low tide, great for a spot of rock pooling.

Back in town, there are narrow, cobbled streets, the impressive Gunsgreen House, the Smokehouse Gallery and a good selection of shops.

Another reason for an Eyemouth cottage holiday is golf and the local golf club has the Borders' only coastal course, with amazing cliff-top holes including 'Britain's Most Extraordinary Golf Hole'!

And walking, cycling, bird-watching, not forgetting historic sites such as Ayton Castle and Paxton House are all on your doorstep.
