Clive Sykes started holiday letting when he lived in the
Yorkshire Dales over 25 years ago. His Mother and some family
friends owned holiday cottages in the area and needed help with
attracting bookings.
It was in 1992 when the first brochure was produced, in which the
cottages were shown through pencil sketches drawn by Clive. At this
point, the business became established and, during the mid
90's, the decision was made to move to Chester.
Offices in the city centre were used as the Sykes headquarters
before relocating to larger premises. The company has grown rapidly
since then, now employing over 100 people ... including Mr. Sykes
himself!
