Borrans Park
Enjoy a picnic, dog walk or ball game on the open green at Borrans Park. From here you can take in stunning views of the famous Lake Windermere.
You can also follow the remains of a Roman road which leads to a Roman ruin in an adjacent field. The fort of Galava was built as one of a series of fortified structures to protect the vital trade routes through Cumbria in around AD79.
