Fell Side Mine

Head to Fell Side Mine for peace, tranquillity, and a glimpse into the Lake District’s industrial past. Sitting beside a stream on a track that’s easily walkable for younger children, there are plenty of spots for picnicking.

The mine building is the only structure still standing here and is a small structure that blends into the surrounding landscape. The terrain is rocky here and caution is advised when approaching the mine building.

If you continue along the same track, you’ll eventually reach some rocky waterfalls which are more than worth a look.

Enjoy peace and relaxation at Fell Side Mine…
