Glan Morfa Community Woodland

Glan Morfa Community Woodland is an all-ability trail following the banks of the River Clwyd estuary. At low tide, the area becomes a wildlife haven, with a range of birds feeding on the mud flats.

The path will take you through the community woodland before weaving back to the estuary. The area was once a refuse site but has been transformed into the beautiful open space you see today that’s excellent for walking, bird watching or simply getting away from it all.

Birds spotted here include bar-tailed godwits and sandwich terns in the autumn; lapwing, redshank, dunlin, sanderling and wigeon in the winter; and year-round residents such as kingfisher, oystercatcher, curlew and shelduck.

Enjoy a memorable day in the countryside with a hike through Glan Morfa Community Woodland…
