North Hill Cottages
On the eastern flank of Bodmin Moor, close to the wooded valley
of the River Lynher, sits the pretty village of North Hill and our
self-catering holiday cottages.
Village amenities include a delightful old church and a village
hall, which hosts a number of events including monthly whist drive,
folk evenings, Morris dancing, Easter egg hunts, beanpole fair and
an annual horticultural show.
The local inn, dating back some 300 years and originally a
school, oozes character with beams and log fires, award-winning
real ale bar, south-facing beer garden and an extensive menu.
See & do in North Hill
Our holiday rentals in North Hill are ideal for lovers of the
countryside and you can stride out from your door and explore leafy
lanes, way-marked paths and bridal ways to your heart's
content. And, of course, there are the wild, remote landscapes of
Bodmin Moor dotted with granite tors, offering amazing walking
opportunities.
Cornwall's ancient capital Launceston is just seven miles
away, where you'll find an array of shops and places to eat and
drink, as well as a Norman castle, steam railway, museum and lots
more.
If you fancy a day at the coast, then take your pick from the
north (Bude, Widemouth
Bay, Boscastle, Tintagel, Padstow) or
south coast (Looe, Polperro, Mevagissey, Fowey), both about half an
hour by car. Closer still are some superb golf courses such as St.
Mellion International, Trevose, Lanhydrock, Bowood and
Launceston.
Our holiday lets in North Hill are also ideally placed for
visiting some of the region's top sights, including the Eden
Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the many Cornish gems of
the National Trust.
Happy holidays!
