Attractions near our holiday lets in North Petherwin
North Petherwin's main claim to fame is that it is home to the Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre, no doubt ranked at the top of your sightseeing itinerary. Enjoy close encounters with otters, owls, fallow deer, wallabies, Scottish wild cats, giant rabbits and chipmunks - and if you're 16 or over you can even be a keeper for the day. Take a walk around the duck pond; follow the nature trail and then pop into the tearoom for a tasty homemade treat.
The quintessentially Cornish town of Launceston is just five miles from our North Petherwin holiday homes, where you'll find a fine Norman castle, Victorian Guildhall, Lawrence House Museum, trips aboard delightful narrow gauge steam trains and a beautiful parkland golf course with sweeping views over Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. Launceston is also the best place to pick up groceries and potter around shops in narrow, medieval streets.
Or point the car north and hit the beach - Blackrock, Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and the charming holiday resort of Bude just a few to mention and all around half an hour's drive from our North Petherwin holiday rentals.
