Relax on the farm and wake-up to nature - even the sounds of a cockerel seem melodious after a digital alarm clock. Children will love helping out with chores like collecting eggs and feeding newborn lambs, and there may be the chance to lend a hand in the milking parlour.
Out and about there's so much to see and do when you stay in a Whitby farm cottage. Spend lazy summer days on long, sandy beaches, gateway to superb bathing and surfing. Enjoy walks in the National Park and along the coast, perhaps along stretches of the Cleveland Way or Coast to Coast Path. Hire mountain bikes in Dalby Forest. Watch noble Shire horses perform at the local Shire horse farm. And if your timing's right, look out for scarecrow festivals in neighbouring villages - always inventive and extremely entertaining.
