Just Show Me Marazion Cottages
With mesmerising views across Mount's Bay to St. Michael's Mount, our Marazion cottages take some beating. You'll find everything you need from gift shops and galleries to restaurants and bars, an interesting local museum and a superb sandy beach.
Relaxing on Marazion's sands is a wonderful pastime and it's easy to while away the hours simply soaking up the views of St. Michael's Mount and Mount's Bay, stretching from the Lizard Peninsula to Land's End. The beach is exceptionally clean, safe and a popular haunt for sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing. Around the harbour and at Chapel Rock are rock pools, while overlooking the beach is Marazion Marsh, an RSPB Reserve known for its migrating starlings and breeding dragonflies.
Reached by boat at high tide and on foot via a causeway at low tide, no stay in a Marazion cottage would be complete without a visit to the enchanting island of St. Michael's Mount, topped with a fairytale castle and dominating the horizon for miles around.
Sister Abbey to Normandy's Mont St. Michel in the 12th Century, today it is a private family home cared for by the National Trust. Step inside the castle, follow cobbled paths and meet the island villagers. Discover legend and myth over the centuries - look out for the giant's heart and extraordinary plaster frieze.
