Cornwall's seven-mile 'Riviera' boasts a plethora of stunning beaches and coves, some ideal for walking, some for building sandcastles and others for serious surfing. Newquay's pounding surf is second to none and hordes of enthusiasts congregate to roll the waves - stay in August and look out for the famous surf, skate and music festival. Other adrenalin-pumping activities include body boarding, kite surfing, coasteering and mountain boarding.
