Just Show Me Salisbury Cottages

On approaching town gaze in awe at the splendid 13th Century cathedral dominating the skyline from far and wide. Its lofty spire soars up from lush, green fields, the city's legendary water meadows depicted in Constable's masterpieces. For the best views, trace his steps along the Town Path from the Queen Elizabeth Gardens towards Harnham Mill or join the Tower Tour of Salisbury Cathedral climbing 332 steps up a narrow, winding staircase.
Explore Salisbury's centre filled with a muddle of medieval and Georgian buildings. It's very compact, so you'll soon feel at home. Shops range from quirky, independent outlets to major chain stores, plus regular street markets. You'll also find a handful of arts and culture venues, as well as plenty of places to eat and drink - ancient coaching inns (look out for the Haunch of Venison), trendy bistros and pavement cafés.
