Just show me Hadrian's Wall Cottages
Please find below a selection of self catering holiday cottages to rent near Hadrian's Wall.
Blend spellbinding scenery, largely unchanged since Roman times, with 2000 years of history for the ultimate 'great outdoors' experience. Welcome to Hadrian's Wall Country and our collection of Hadrian's Wall Country cottages.
Hadrian's Wall is a UNESCO World Heritage Site crossing northern England for around eighty miles. Built as a Roman frontier in just over six years, many stretches remain intact especially within the Northumberland National Park. In fact, some of the most dramatic parts are found here such as the section from Cawfields to Walltown Quarry.
Find your whereabouts and plan your day at the Once Brewed Tourist Information Centre near Hexham. Choose from a number of excellent walking routes, whether you intend to cover as many miles as possible along the Hadrian's Wall National Trail Path, or are looking for shorter, circular options. Enjoy a family ramble to Sycamore Gap, home to the tallest remains of the Wall and also the famous tree from blockbuster, 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves'.
Cycling is another great way to take in both the natural and archaeological views, with a variety of long distance routes - the Hadrian's Cycleway, Sea to Sea (C2C), Reivers, Pennine Cycleway and the National Byway.
This mighty 'necklace' is studded with Roman 'jewels' like Housesteads, Chesters and Vindolanda. Do explore these fascinating forts, many offering interactive displays, Roman artefacts, special family events and authentic battle re-enactments.
And remember - however you decide to experience this extraordinary region of Northumberland, your Hadrian's Wall Country cottage will welcome you at the end of every day.
