Welsh Coast Cottages

Just show me Welsh Coast Cottages

The Welsh Coast hugs the country along three of its sides for 750 miles, offering a heady mix of beaches, peninsulas, harbours and seaside resorts. The National Trust protects parts of the most scenically splendid areas. Coastal paths follow most of the shoreline, with plans in the pipeline for an 'All Wales' route. Water sports and wildlife watching opportunities are fantastic. And scattered here and there are some delightful Welsh Coast cottages. Let's whet your appetite with some highlights...

First stop, the North Wales coast, home to timeless attractions like Llandudno and Conwy, with the magnificent Snowdonia National Park a welcome neighbour. Just off the coast is the isle of Anglesey, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a firm favourite with families and water sports' enthusiasts. The AONB status continues along the Llyn Peninsula, stretching out into the Irish Sea and renowned for its mild micro-climate, breathtaking beaches and superb sailing conditions. Continue south to the resort of Barmouth and the Mawddach Estuary, a picture postcard backdrop where the mountains kiss the sea.

Linking the north with the south is the Ceredigion Heritage Coast of Cardigan Bay, a stretch highly blessed by Mother Nature and home to bottle-nosed dolphins and grey seals. Next, the Pembrokeshire Coast, boasting the UK's only coastal National Park, numerous award-winning beaches and a host of historic castles. Add the longest beach in Wales at Camarthen Bay, dazzling scenery and mind-boggling sunsets on the Gower Peninsula...the list goes on.

Wherever you stay, a Welsh Coast cottage holiday will leave a lasting impression!
