Beaches come in all shapes and sizes. You'll find idyllic,
pocket-size coves made for romantic picnics. Plenty with rock pools
to keep little ones amused. Some so big you could host a sporting
event with fellow beachgoers. And many have won awards like the
prestigious Blue Flag. Look out for Red Wharf, Cemaes, Newborough,
Aberffraw, Llanddona, Borthwen, Porth Trecastell and Rhosneigr - a
hub for adrenalin-pumping water sports.
An Anglesey coastal cottage places you close to the Anglesey
Coastal Path, a 125-mile trail hugging most of the coastline.
Expect spectacular views, ample spots for refreshments, all sorts
of historic treasures and some incredible wildlife watching
opportunities, with porpoises, seals, gannets, puffins - even
dolphins. Do allow plenty of time to ramble around the RSPB Reserve
at South Stack Cliffs.
