Just show me Saint Agnes Cottages
Brimming with charm and character, Saint Agnes is a beautifully unspoilt village on the north coast of Cornwall. It's a wonderful place for a family holiday and also a great touring base. Stay in summer for the carnival or escape in winter for the Christmas Lights.
Make yourself at home in your St.Agnes cottage, then have a wander around. Notice the friendly ambience - St. Agnes is a thriving community and extremely welcoming. You'll find a good choice of shops for all your holiday needs, plus a fabulous collection of craft shops, galleries and workshops, where you can pick up handmade gifts, jewellery, ceramics and other keepsakes. (St. Agnes is part of the Arts & Crafts Trail.) Or take the short drive to Blue Hills and treat yourself to some stylish jewellery or tableware made from St. Agnes Tin.
St. Agnes boasts four beaches! Porthtowan is a fantastic surfing beach and hosts annual contests - you can also book lessons and hire equipment locally. Chapel Porth (NT) is next door, offering soft, fine sands and wonderful cliff-top walks back into the village. Along the coast is Trevellas Porth, a pebble beach that's great for fishing and snorkelling. Last but not least, Trevaunance Cove (or 'Aggie Beach') offers excellent family facilities. As well as the spectacular coastal path, walkers can follow designated National Trust trails and exciting off-the-beaten-track routes deep into the countryside.
Round off your day laughing with locals in a traditional inn or around the dining table of your St. Agnes cottage!
